Seen on a restaurant sign in Pennsylvania today: Celebrate Cinco de mayo: May 4th.

Overheard in a grocery store today.

Man:     Why do you have your Easter things out already?

Cashier: Easter is just a few weeks away.

Man:     I used to go to church.  I’m sure Easter is in April.
Cashier: Easter is early this year.

Man:     I thought it was the same time every year.

Cashier: It moves.  It’s not like a government holiday.  It’s early this year.
Man:     Oh.  I still think it is too early to have your Easter things out.

Nothing like a holiday that sneaks up on you to surprise you.  After all, it takes some time to get ready for a resurrection.

The asteroid has passed as close as it will come, and nothing happened.  In fact, that all happened before I wrote about it here.   I was late in getting the news.  Good thing it missed us!
